Sapillo Creek Escape is the perfect location to host workshops, retreats, and special events and in 2021 we started our journey hosting weddings and Writing in the Wild workshops, to the delight of our guests and attendees. We are excited to continue this for the foreseeable future.
Currently, Sapillo Creek Escape is taking reservations for writers who need 2 weeks to one month to start, finish, and/or edit their current pieces of work. High speed internet and inspirational views envelope the property. You can just rent the house to write, or we can provide a package that includes the rental and services of a published New Mexican author, Taylor García, as your own developmental editor.
Please email us for rates and availability. 2022 availability is limited but our 2023 calendar is currently open.
The next Writing in the Wild Retreat will be a 7-day, 6-night writing workshop tentatively scheduled for October 21-28, 2022. We are looking for 10 – 12 people interested in writing short stories, fiction, memoirs, and personal essays. Cost is $850 for the week and includes food and non-alcoholic beverages as well as outdoors activities such as yoga, hiking, and visits to places like the Gila Cliff Dwellings. Lodging is not included but three rooms are available for rent, first come, first serve – for those who want to stay onsite. Details in the link below.
To join us, please complete the Writing in the Wild 2022 Retreat Sign Up. Upon completion, we will send you confirmation and payment details.
